TikTok Shop payout missing? How to find orders that never got paid

When TikTok Shop pays for an order, how settlement tiers and reserves delay it, and how to find delivered orders that should have paid out but didn't.

TikTok Shop pays for an order only after it's delivered and your settlement period has passed. So an order that hasn't paid out is usually still waiting. It becomes a problem when it's delivered, past your settlement period, past any reserve hold, and still not on a statement. Here is how to tell the two apart and what to do about the real ones.

Everything below applies to US shops and comes from TikTok's Seller University, checked in October 2026. TikTok changes these policies, so confirm the numbers against your own Seller Center.

When TikTok pays for an order

The settlement clock starts when the order is delivered, not when it's placed or shipped. An order settles once it's delivered and has no open refund or return request (Finance & Settlement 101).

How long it waits after delivery depends on your settlement tier (Dynamic Settlement and Reserve Policy):

Tier Days after delivery Who gets it
Introductory 31 New sellers and sellers on probation
Standard 8 The default once you're out of probation
Accelerated 5 Shops with a Shop Performance Score of 3.5 or higher
Express 1 Shops with a Shop Performance Score of 4.0 or higher
Deferred Varies Applied at any time during security checks

TikTok reviews tiers on the 1st of each month, based on your Shop Performance Score, how many orders you delivered recently and any restrictions on the shop. A brand-new shop sits on the 31-day tier, which is why first payouts feel slow.

Two more delays sit on top of the tier:

  • Reserves. TikTok can hold part of an order's value as a reserve against returns. Reserves are held for 30 days from delivery, then released.
  • Bank transfer. Once a payout starts, it takes 1 to 3 business days to reach your bank.

Check the On hold tab first

In Seller Center, open Finances. The On hold tab lists money that hasn't settled yet, and See all opens every unsettled order with a reason next to it, such as "Waiting for package delivery", "Waiting for completed refund/return" or "Order delivered and awaiting settlement" (Finances Page FAQ).

If an order is on hold for a reason that's still true (the package hasn't arrived, a return is open), there's nothing to chase yet.

Find delivered orders that should have paid

The orders worth investigating are delivered, have no open refund or return, and are past the date they should have settled. To find them:

  1. Note your settlement tier and how many days it allows after delivery.
  2. In Seller Center, go to Finances → Statements, click Export, pick a date range that starts well before the orders you're checking, and download the file from Export History (settlement report guide). The Order details sheet lists every order that has been settled, with its statement ID.
  3. Export your orders for the same period and filter to delivered orders.
  4. For each delivered order, its expected settle date is the delivery date plus your tier's days. Any delivered order past that date that doesn't appear in the Order details sheet is a candidate.
  5. Check the Reserve Details sheet in the same export. If part of an order was reserved, that amount won't be released until 30 days after delivery.

Whatever is left after step 5 is worth raising with TikTok.

Things that look like missing money but aren't

  • Payouts don't line up with weeks. Each statement covers whatever settled that day, which can include orders from several weeks back. A week of strong sales doesn't produce a matching payout.
  • Refunds come out later. A refund on an order that already paid is deducted from your available balance or your next payout, so a later payout can be smaller than expected.
  • Negative balances carry forward. If deductions exceed what settled, the difference comes out of the next payout.
  • Payouts under $1 wait. TikTok's minimum payout is $1.
  • Failed payouts. A payout with the status Failed usually means a bank detail problem. Only the shop owner can change the bank account.
  • Fees are bigger than expected. Each order loses the referral fee, affiliate commission, shipping and taxes before it pays. TikTok's published US referral fee is 6% for most categories (fee table). Since August 2026, several industry blogs have reported an increase to 8%, which TikTok hadn't confirmed in its public documentation when we checked, so compare the referral fee on your own statement.

Raise it with TikTok

On desktop, click the ? icon in Seller Center and choose Chat with us, or go to your shop name, then Help & Support, then Chat with us. Live agents are available 9am to 9pm Pacific, every day (Help Center chat).

Have these ready so the case is about specific orders instead of a general complaint:

  • Your shop ID
  • The order IDs, with each order's delivery date
  • Your settlement tier
  • Any statement or payment IDs you've checked

Put every order in one case rather than opening one per order.

Doing this check in Seller Sync

The manual check works, but it means two exports and a lookup every time. Seller Sync matches your orders against TikTok's settlement statements automatically after each sync, through TikTok's official Finance API.

  • Ask Claude. If you've connected Claude to Seller Sync, ask "Which orders never got paid out?". It lists orders older than TikTok's usual settlement window that have no finance record at all, neither a settlement nor a TikTok estimate, oldest first, with the order ID, status, amount and order date.
  • Unsettled Finance report. This workflow exports TikTok's own estimate for each order that hasn't settled yet: estimated revenue, fees and tax, shipping, settlement amount, the estimated settlement time and the reason it's unsettled. Run it before a month-end close to see what's still coming.
  • Net Profit (Finance Report). Settled orders with every fee broken out, so you can see exactly what each order paid.

Two limits to know. TikTok's API only returns unsettled transactions created after January 1, 2025, and the estimates can change until an order settles. When it does, the finance report's final numbers replace the estimate automatically.
